Honeycomb Titanium, Copper & Magnetite: where to find ore

Find early Titanium and Copper around the landing area, follow Magnetite markers, activate collection tools, and read remaining resource quantities on the map.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Start with Titanium around the early landing area, then craft and activate your collection tools. Copper is relatively close to the landing pod, near the early cave route. Find the named resource on the map, place a marker and use AR Mode to follow it. Check a node’s remaining amount before searching an emptied patch.

Before you begin

  • Access to the map and AR Mode
  • Inventory space and supplies for a short collection trip
  • A Chisel for mineral collection after the first Titanium pickup

Where to find Titanium at the start

Use the early Titanium objective and its map marker to find the pickup area. Around the landing valley, inspect the rocky ledge across from the entrance to the landing location. The initial Titanium can be collected before crafting the Chisel; an unrelated rock that asks for a tool is not the pickup you need to start that sequence.

  1. Find Titanium on the map and place a marker.
  2. Use AR Mode to keep that marker visible while travelling.
  3. Inspect the marked ground for available Titanium pickups.
  4. Collect enough for the early tool recipes displayed in your crafting menu.
  5. Craft the tools and activate them from inventory before collecting other materials.

Do not spend the whole trip trying to interact with one unsuitable rock. Check the label and marker again, then look around the nearby ground. The early progression depends on collecting the starting material before tools can expand what you harvest.

Where to find Copper near the landing pod

Copper is relatively close to the landing pod. Use the early cave route as a nearby landmark, then select the actual Copper resource on the map. Place a waypoint on that deposit and follow it, rather than assuming everything inside or around the cave is the same ore.

The map is particularly useful when several resource names appear close together. Verify that the selected label says Copper before following the pointer. Inspect the local patch for separate pickups, then check how much remains when you think you have finished.

Copper supports the early wiring-kit route. Keep the supply needed for your next construction step separate from spare materials. Once the required parts are ready, return to the base water-and-power setup instead of filling every available inventory slot.

Follow Magnetite without confusing nearby minerals

The early cave expedition includes Magnetite and other resources. Use the map's resource name to pick a Magnetite collection target; a nearby Copper or Graphite label points to a different material. Mark one target at a time so the route stays easy to follow.

Prepare the Chisel and check that it is active and usable. Passive tools operate through their inventory activation state rather than becoming a separate held item for every interaction. If collection still fails, check the selected material, tool condition and available carrying capacity before leaving to find another deposit.

Combine the trip with an actual recipe requirement. A reserve can be useful, but returning with the wrong mineral does not help a station waiting for a different input. Consult the collection-tool checklist if your target is correct and harvesting remains unresponsive.

Read the remaining amount before searching again

Hover the resource location on the map to inspect its quantities. The node's production information and the amount currently left are different numbers. A remaining amount of zero means there is nothing left to collect at that moment; walking around the same patch will not uncover an extra piece just because its marker still exists.

Remove or change a waypoint once its collection task is finished. Check the map again when returning later instead of assuming a fixed replenishment timer. For a Silicon recipe with an unknown ingredient, switch to the Viscous Secretion route; that particular crafting problem needs animal material.
